Abstract

This paper presents XEML, an extensible educational markup language initially designed for EduPalace, an integrated e-learning system. We will first discuss why such a markup language is important to the success of e-learning, and then give a brief over view of EduPalace in which XEML has been successfully used. This will be followed by detailed presentation of XEML with examples. In conclusion we will summarize the advantages of our extensible educational markup language, as well as our work ahead related XEML.
