Abstract

Th is paper describes an integrated writing support system that includes diagnostic tests, online scaffolding, computer-based coaching, and peer collaboration and feedback tools. The system has been tailored to improve students' self-regulation skills in the domain of writing and to foster their understanding of writing as means for negotiating shared understandings.
