Abstract

The growth of Internet and the deregulation of the telecommunication industry have exploded the number of tasks and services that we can do or obtain from our terminals (PCs, Laptops, PDAs and Phones). Hence the desktop of our terminals has became the control board for almost all of our works. This paper addresses the problem of how to make this work environment available for roaming users with the same "look and feel" across different network, and from different terminals. In this paper, we propose a solution based on the concept of virtual home environment and agent's technology. We describe the architecture for implementing this mobile work environment and we give some arguments that justify the use of mobile intelligent agents for implementing this framework.
