Abstract

This article is a response to Richard Harris’s diagnosis that urban history in Canada is in a “parlous condition,” published as part of the 50th anniversary issue of the Urban History Review / Revue d’histoire urbaine. It reviews recent publications in the historical subfields of sex and sexuality, environment, and Indigeneity to reveal how, in fact, urban history in Canada is still thriving.
