Abstract

In this paper we report GISM, a constraint-based and object-oriented language for modelling and designing agent-based intelligent systems, including an introduction to the theory behind, the essence of the language, the control mechanisms for intelligent systems modelled in GISM, and an application example. The language is quite general, declarative, high level, and naturally concurrent supported. It takes advantages of different programming paradigms and knowledge representation schemes.
