    Abstract

The advanced intelligent distributed learning environment concepts, approaches, solutions, and security issues involved in the deployment of intelligent Software Agents for distributed learning environments are discussed in book named 'Designing Distributed Learning environments with Intelligent software Agents'. The critical issues discussed in the book are knowledge modeling, knowledge representation, and knowledge management. Web services, semantic Web, virtual reality, and peer-to-peer paradigm are the technologies that influenced the agent-supported distributed learning environment. The human factors such as acceptance, trust, and usability are important to the success of Agent-Supported Distributed Learning Environments.
