    Dr. Matthieu Caron is an Assistant Professor at Athabasca University with a PhD in history from the University of Toronto. A historian of urban governance, his research examines how law, policing, and public policy shape everyday life in modern cities. His work focuses in particular on the regulation of everyday life and public space, and on the ways municipal authorities manage urban change.
