    Research Interests

    Dr. Kam Jugdev joined Athabasca University in 2003 following a career as a project manager. She is an active researcher in the field of project management as it relates to strategy. Dr. Jugdev received several research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Her research program spans project management as a source of competitive advantage using the Resource-Based View of the Firm, project management lessons learned, project management tools and techniques, and project success/failure. Her two main international collaborative research projects are on sustainability integration barriers and drivers in extractive organizations and the nature of project management capabilities in social enterprises.

    Dr. Kam Jugdev is an active researcher in the field of project management as it relates to strategy. She has received several research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. In addition to her research program in project management with international colleagues, she also engages in collaborative research in online education. She enjoys working closely with students and has supervised, co-supervised, and served as a committee member with over 25 doctoral students, 50 Applied Project students, and 20 MSc/MEng students.
