    Research Interests

    My areas of research focus on sustainability management in particular focusing on the role that organizations play in sustainable development. I have conducted research and published articles about sustainable business models, corporate social responsibility and crisis management, multinationals and their impact in developing countries, corporate governance and sustainability, sustainability partnerships, and B Corps. The aim of my work is to contribute to the sustainability of society by focusing on businesses and organizations as crucial players in that journey.

    I have 10+ years of international professional experience working in corporate sustainability and a PhD in sustainability. My research focuses on sustainability management being particularly interested in the impact of businesses and multinationals, sustainable business models, sustainability partnerships, corporate governance for sustainability, B Corporations, and the SDGs. I use strategic management, the resource-based view, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, social and environmental justice, social license to operate, stakeholder theory, and institutional contexts, among other literature. I have published in diverse journals such as Business & Society; Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management; the Journal of International Development; Sustainability; Sustainable Development; Public Administration Review; Business Research Quarterly; Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal; Business and Society Review; the Journal of Environmental Planning and Management; and the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment. I collaborate on different projects in Canada and overseas and supervise doctoral and master’s students.
