Personal profile

Research Interests

Care for premature infants has evolved significantly in the past twenty years, however, improvements in morbidity rates have not kept pace. My research is focused on outcomes for very low birthweight infants and quality improvement efforts directed at improving these outcomes.

Personal profile

In addition to my role as an Associate Professor in the Nurse Practitioner Program at AU I am a neonatal nurse practitioner in NICU at St Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg and Editor-in-Chief of Neonatal Network, the Journal of Neonatal Nursing. I volunteer with the Academy of Neonatal Nursing as their Accredited Provider Program Director (Nurse Planner) and have many years of experience in program and conference planning. I have published three textbooks and numerous articles in the area of high risk newborns.
