Research Interests
My research interests are primarily focused on exclusion and inclusion in a male-dominated occupational sectors. Specifically, I am investigating the contributor to bullying, discrimination and harassment and other harmful behaviours and how they can be addressed. I am also exploring the concept of identity work and factors, such as leadership, culture and climate, and occupational and personal identity stigma, that compel individuals to hide or downplay their various identities to fit in at work. Two current projects are focused on (1) testing a model of network silence (silence transmitted through workplace networks), including the antecedents and outcomes; and (2) developing and evaluating a model of leadership, inclusion, and organizational sustainability.
